10.00 – 17.00 | Several rooms,
Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts)
Master classes
The Rotterdam Conservatory Codarts will host students from Lyon,
Lausanne, Berlin, and New York (the famous Julliard Trombone
Choir) for a whole week. Working together with the students from
Rotterdam will hopefully result in a “world mix” of top quality. Their teachers Stephan Schulz, Joseph Alessi, Michel Becquet, and Jörgen van Rijen will give master classes for a week so that they can share their enthusiasm for and knowledge of the trombone. During the master classes the typical Rotterdam School model of “team teaching” will be used. One on one and in small groups, the students will be taught by different teachers. The classes will be mixed: the students will do their own “thing” but will mostly play pieces with others, they learn from each other and will be motivated and challenged by each other – an inspiring collaboration between the world’s best trombone schools.
On Thursday and Friday the classes will be open.
